Born to Carl Outler & Patricia Keyes in Brooklyn, New York Mel, grew up in a loving household with his mother Patricia as well as his grandparents, Melford C. & Laura J. Keyes. At seventeen he entered in the United States Air Force where he spent ten years on active duty stationed in Texas where he met his lovely wife, Kendra F. Keyes, now married for over 35 years. They have three children and seven grandchildren to include recent identical twin girls.

For the past 19 of those years, Mel has continued to grow as pastor of The Joshua House of Worship,located in the heartof the west side of San Antonio.

He’s authored three books, “Hell To The Know” and “7 Keyes For The BEST Of Your Life” both, based on biblical principles pointed at living an empowered life. His latest book, “Going Places” is an anthology filled with the incredible stories of ten powerful women of God. He’s also served as the publisher for “If Carol Can,” the life story of one of his daughters in ministry. As an entrepreneur Mel has created conferences, inspirational radio programming & even served as a cast member for a personal development based reality TV show called “The Keynote.” He and Kendra enjoy operating their work from home travel business for the past twelve years teaching others how to travel more affordably, create international conferences and additional income for families & for funding kingdom causes like their own passion in orphan ministry.
